Do you want a career that creates visible, positive change in the community, and makes life-changing impacts on incarcerated women?

We encourage individuals with lived experience to apply for positions within our organization. However, please note that individuals currently on day parole or full parole are ineligible for management roles, as stability is a key requirement. All applications are carefully reviewed by our human resource manager and the hiring manager to ensure the best fit. Thank you to all applicants for your interest in the Elizabeth Fry Society of Saskatchewan. We look forward to meeting you. Check our social media to see if we’re currently hiring!

A Unique Experience for Students

The Elizabeth Fry Society of Saskatchewan offers unique learning experiences for students requiring practicum experience, and plentiful opportunities to aid the community with volunteer options.

We often have students from a variety of institutions fulfilling their practicum at our office, coming from backgrounds in social work, nursing, criminology, youth care, and addictions programs. Reflecting this, our office staff has a diverse range of educational and professional knowledge for the students to draw upon, and gain vital work experience at a community-based organization. Some of the previous experiences and roles of students and volunteers here include:

  1. Prison in-reach (regular visits to Pinegrove Correctional);
  2. Weekly Sharing Circle;
  3. Providing one-on-one drop-in support to clients in the community;
  4. Shadowing a court worker;
  5. Attending various meetings, workshops and events as part of the EFry team;
  6. Office administrative experience.

Prospective students can contact us via email at info@elizabethfrysask.org or call 306-668-0604 for more information. Please note that all students are interviewed to ensure the organization is a good match for their desired learning experience.

The Elizabeth Fry Society is a women’s organization that works with women-identified individuals. Our staff and students reflect this, and we take on students who reflect this gender identity.
